Plumbing problems under my bathroom floor

Having a plumbing problem under the floor can be a headache for most plumbers and more so for DIY plumbers. In most case when there is a plumbing problem underneath the floor, it is up to the professional to take up the floor and inspect what is going on. Sometimes this can be a costly price to pay due to the time spent and the damage caused.

Central heating not working due to plumbing problems

If the central heating isn’t working due to plumbing problems, then it is a good idea to drain the central heating system down fully and refill back up. If there is still plumbing problems, then it is best to call the professionals as there can be a number of complicated situations going on. It is so important that the central heating is put in by a good plumber, rather that a plumber that has no experience and doesn’t know what he is doing. Water stain due to plumbing problems

Any water stains due to any plumbing problems is something that will need investigating. If you leave the water stain to get bigger, then the situation could get worse all of a sudden, so it is always best to get any plumbing problems that result in water stains solved.


Since my last plumber I now have plumbing problems, what should I do?

Not all plumbing problems are the fault of the plumber that was at the property doing the work. In some cases, there may be a weak point, but when the new central heating system is put in place, the weak spot in the central heating system may just all of a sudden burst open. Depending on the age of the system, it is a better job if the whole of the central heating system is replaced including all pipework and radiators to make sure the best of work is done saving any further immediate costs.


I have plumbing problems with my cold and hot water, do I require an emergency plumber?

Any plumbing problems with the cold and hot water can be an easy job in most cases. If you have an airlock, then read up on our airlock in hot water system. My boiler isn’t working, is this a plumbing problem or an electrician?

If your boiler isn’t working, then it may either be a gas engineer situation or an electric fault. If there is electric coming to the switch by the boiler, then it will require a boiler specialist. To check this, you may need a voltage stick or some other electrical testing equipment. If there is no power getting to the switch outside, then the best option will be to call an electrician for the best advice.


Water leak near my boiler, is this a plumbing problem or a job for the gas safe registered engineer?

If there is water leaking from near the boiler, then this is a job for the emergency plumber. If you have a leak coming inside the boiler, then it is the job for the gas safe register engineer. If the leak outside the boiler requires the boiler to be looked at, then it will be best to use the services of the gas safe registered engineer.


I have a plumbing problem, does the plumber have to be corgi or gas safe?

Any plumbing problems, the plumber does not need to be gas safe or corgi unless the plumbing issue is within the boiler, then you will require a gas safe registered engineer and not a corgi engineer as corgi is no longer classed as the safe way to work on gas.


My water is slow, is this a plumbing problem?

If you have slow water pressure, then this may be a plumbing problem, you may need to check the mains water stop tap to check if it is running, as it should be before calling the water board.


My central heating is warm but not hot, have I got plumbing problems?

If your central heating is hot or warm then you most likely with have plumbing problems, but it is also good to check the boiler to see if the issue lies within. When checking the boiler it is very important to leave this to the gas safe registered engineer, otherwise you could be breaking the law.
